Frog Fishing Lures

Unlike deep sea lures that are generally used in deep sea fishing, frog fishing lures are used in the world of bass angling. In addition to insects and smaller fish, bass eat frogs and even mice; therefore, frog fishing lures are designed to encourage a bass to attack vigorously what it perceives as a delicious amphibian waiting to become its next meal. In shallow water, bass seek areas that are shaded by thick grass, docks or lily pads. Cast frog fishing lures into thickly matted grassy areas near undercut banks, pitch them under docks or cast them to the edge of lily pads and pond scum areas. For the best results, move the frog fishing lure in a manner that fools the bass into thinking it is living prey instead of artificial bait.
